Atheist on the Supreme Court?

In the article Marc Cooper points out that there has never been a Supreme Court member that was an Atheist. Since Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens has decided to retire, there has been much debate over whom his replacement should be. It would be very surprising to see an Atheist be appointed to the Supreme Court, but I would be excited.
